Clinton Laviano

Clint Laviano has over 30 years of experience in business and technical operations, as a field tech, field service manager and ultimately as a respected and successful Operations Executive for over 20 years.

Clint joined the United States Marine Corps out of High School where he learned and lived the traits of dedication, perseverance, discipline and loyalty that came to define his working career. After leaving the USMC, Clint earned his Technical Degree from the Control Data Institute in New York City (working three jobs to pay his way).

After graduation from CDI in 1984, Clint joined Lanier Business Products as an entry-level Field Engineer, where his career developed rapidly. Just three years after he joined Lanier, Clint was promoted first to Service Supervisor and later to District Service Manager, in Virginia Beach, VA. After Lanier was acquired by Harris Corp, Clint was named Eastern Regional Director for Harris Customer Service Division with responsibilities from Florida to Maine.

In 1990 Clint left Harris to join Point-of-Sales solutions provider Data Business Systems as their Director of Technical Services. During Clint’s tenure, the company grew by nearly 400%, driven in part by the vision, direction, leadership and discipline Clint provided to the Technical Operations team he led.

In 2004, Clint joined PC Network Services in Pittsburgh, PA where he led all Technical Operations as the company grew recurring revenue by nearly 8x over 10 years. A large part of PCNS’ success came from the high degree of consistency, discipline and rigor that Clint drove into the company’s operations. This ultimately culminated with PCNS’ acquisition by a Private Equity company in 2014 (the company re-branded as Apogee IT Services in 2015) with Clint remaining, in the critical role of VP of Operations.

Clint left Apogee in late 2017 and today is an Operations Consultant and Business Advisor, working with companies across a variety of industries, helping them to streamline their operations through a combination of thoughtful design and disciplined execution.

Clint sits on the Advisory Board for Pittsburgh Technology Institute and is a graduate of the Entrepreneurial Fellows Program from the University of Pittsburgh’s Institute for Entrepreneurial Excellence. He also sits on the Board of Directors for the YMCA of South Hampton Roads. Clint shares time between homes in Virginia Beach, VA and Pittsburgh, PA while working with clients around the US to help them design and execute better business operations.
